We are blessed with lotsa trees and and plants to admire along our way to Darrielle's school every morning.. Singapore is a 花园城市, so flowers are not a rare sight.. But do we pay attention to the different kinds of flowers we see? =) I do, ever since Darrielle start to pay extra attention to these flowers she sees every morning on her way to school.. So, here's afew:

Thunbergia Fragrans
Otherwise known as Sweet Clock-Vine or White Lady.. As contrary to it's name, this flower doesn't carries any fragrance at all! It's always on full bloom in the morning, but wilt by the evening when I walk pass to fetch Darrielle off school..

Tecoma Stans
Otherwise known as Yellow Bells or Yellow Trumpetbush.. There are 3-4 bushes for this near our house.. It's gorgeous, bright yellow flowers bloom in clusters on the bush, attracting butterflies, sometimes bee n hummingbirds!

Clitoria ternatea
As noticed, Clitoria is name after Clitoris simply cause it resembles one.. It's otherwise knows as Blue Pea-Vine or Butterfly pea.. These flowers always bloom in such vibrant violet-blue color, one will not fail to notice it.. In the olden days, Peranakans uses this flower to dye the glutinous rice when making Pulut Inti..

This is this Pulut Inti I tried to make a long time ago..

Some mornings I will pick up those flowers which had dropped in the ground for Darrielle to gather.. She loves these flowers as they are all so beautiful.. So here she is, my dear daughter smiling as beautiful as these blooms we gathered..

And if what's written above have sparked ur interest in the plants u walk past everyday, you can check out this site: The Plant Observatory
It's painstakingly put together by the site owner, very informative.. ;)
