Darling's childcare had their Children's Day Celebration on 31th Sep since 1st Oct is a holiday for them.. They had a merged celebration with the kids from 2 other YMCA CDCs at the main YMCA building.. Those kids are all dressed to the nines.. I took a day's leave to join them for the celebration.. It's nice to meet her teachers and friends too.. These kids are all so sweet and frank..
Sat in the bus and ready to set off!It just started to rain when we are on our way there.. Thanks God the rain had lighten off to just drizzles when we reached..
The teachers from 3 CDCs put up one performance each..
The teachers from Bukit Batok YMCA CDCs:

Our teacher's performance:
The teachers from Zhenghua YMCA CDCs:

After the performances, the party starts! Games corners and popcorn stations manned by YMCA youth volunteers..
The inflatable castle.. This is soooo tempting that Darling tried to sneak there to play, 2-3 times even before the party really starts.. Same for a few other kids.. It's just toooo tempting.. LOL
The ball stations.. She is supposed to kick the ball in, but she insisted on using the hockey stick.. =.=" I suppose, it's not really possible to make a 2 year old stick with the game rules, can you?
Ya.. And she uses the same ball for basketball station although she is supposed to use the mini basketballs.. Duhz! The kind korkors zehzehs have been so generous with the prizes (mini packets of gummy sweets), I have to sneak some returns to them coz Darrielle really shouldn't have so much.. LOL!
Look at the beeline at the popcorn stations.. It's a hit among the kids.. Sweet smelling fresh hot popcorns.. Who can resist them?
Popcorns for breakfast isn't ideal, but she only had 1 half boiled egg and 200ml of milk before we leave home.. So I gotta make her sit down n eat some popcorns to fill her up a little bit before lunchtime comes..
All the kids are clearly impressed by him.. And was even more so when he juggles the diabolo and throw them high up then catches them prefectly.. You can tell by the WOWs~ and claps..
Sweet Chloe (a senior in her CDC) shared her pc of cracker with Darrielle.. Totally signifies, 'Sharing is Caring' :D
Lunchtime! Everyone got a tub of Fried Rice, carton drinks and fruit puree.. The fried rice was very fragrant, but a little tasteless to me since it's for kids and seasonings are kept to a bare minimum.. Most of the kids are self-feeding and you get to see funny things like how a girl can taste the little cabbage bits and spat out the rice.. LOL! Darrielle like it and ate a good amt.. The fruit puree from Carrefour is a booo... Too sourish.. Wonder why.. Reminds me of the Heinz baby fruit juices we tried when Darrielle was a baby.. She totally reject it coz the natural sugar in the juice were artificially removed and it's so sourish.. Baby Darrielle has a critical tastebuds for food.. She can tell best from normal and always takes what she deem the best.. Having taste real freshly juiced/puree-ed fruits, she reject the Heinz baby fruit juice flatly from 1st sip.. I ended up adding homemade syrup to it and drink it myself.. Hahaha..
The programme was supposed to end at 1pm, but at 1.15pm, it's still raining cats and dogs outside there.. So teachers tried to keep the kids entertained by singing and dancing.. Darrielle's teachers was requested to put up another Macarena Dance..
By this time, the kids' energy level have been tiggered and released, alot more are dancing too!But I won't say the same for these little darlings in Playgroups.. It's long passed their nap time, you start seeing blankie, pacifiers and little bolster being hugged by them.. One or two had drifted off to sleep in the arms of their teachers or parents..
After the celebration, we went to meet Huili and her girls for some shopping.. I took a cab, hoping to reach Paragon to look for a quiet corner for Darrielle to take her nap.. But she is too tired and fell asleep in the cab.. The cab uncle is new to driving a cab and not sure how to reach Paragon, i don't know too since i'm not a driver.. He happens to drove by Ion so I just suggest that we stop there..
Set Darrielle on their nice little sofa and covered her with whatever cloth I have there.. I don't know, but Ion seems like a elite maze to me.. If it's not for Huili, I might not have found my way out.. LOL..Anniston being the Big ZehZeh..
I can't wait for Huihui (Huili's No.3) to start walking too.. The scene would have been magnificant.. A girly squeeze.. Not exactly girly girly, but since it's all girls, it's named girly.. LOL

The love for shoes and bags.. After having all these girls, I'm very sure it's inborn in females to have this strange adoration for pretty things.. These girls, especially Darrielle and Enen keep themselves occupied by trying out those shoes they can land their little hands on, and climbing up and down up and down the sofa while me and their mom shop for our shoes.. Thankfully it's a weekday afternoon, if not it would have been chaotic..

Refreshment time! Took a short break before anymore shoppings..

Ultimate station is at Paragon..

The kids want to play at their new playground while the moms wans to buy some cakes from Da Paolo Gastronomia.. Their cakes are slightly expensive, but the taste of it is completely worth it.. Bought their blackforest cake for Ah Hia and the remark from him is: Very nice.. Even Darrielle cannot get enough of it.. Would buy their Tiramisu the next time round.. :D
Ended our day with dinner at Food republic..
Can't wait to meet these 4 ladies again!
