On 7th Feb(Sat), Darling started running fever in the afternoon.. When out to get her baby panadol.. But its not working.. By evening, she went from 38.5 to 38.9 degree Celsius.. But she have no other symptoms.. No cough, flu, runny nose, sneeze, nothing.. Only that fever and she is still as active as ever.. So I continue to give her the panadol and hope that it would goes down in the night.. But it didn't.. She peak at 40.5 degree Celcius that night.. But I was tat she was sleeping well, so i juz grit my teeth and monitor..

On 8th Feb(Sun), she is still having fever, but it seems to have went down abit.. That morning, she is back to 38.5.. My mum kept insisting that it's teething.. Brought those cooling patch for her to stick coz she hates the cool wet towel on her head..

Finally, I manage to make her take her nap.. But after her nap, she is burning at 39.9 degree Celsius again.. Something doesn't felt right to me although she is still active.. All the maternal instinct i guess.. Suggest to my mum that I wan to bring her to KKH.. So we rushed down in cab straight after her nap..



Waited a long time at KKH A&E.. By the time we see doc, her fever already subside to 37.5 degree Celcius.. Did a urine test for her, and she is not having anything UTI.. So sent her home, but told us if she is still having fever, I would need to bring her back for blood test..

After reaching home, fever went up again at 38.9 degree Celcius.. I start to feel feverish also.. Forcefed her the baby panadol and put her to bed.. She kept moaning in her sleep, and wakes up to cry.. Her fever peak at 42.3 degree Celcius.. Mine was at 39.5 degree Celcius..

9th Feb(Mon) Me and my mum send her to KKH again at 6am.. Who knows jam along the way, only reach at 7.30am lo.. Doc suggest warding her for observation.. I agree on the spot coz 42 degree Celcius is way too high and making me very worried..




Apparently, i learn to understand that although Darrielle is outgoing and likes to play with anyone, but she hate it when she feels that her space is intruded.. When doc came and play with her at first, she was very happy.. But when doc starts to check here check there touch here touch there, she start to be scared and screams.. But when the fever subside, she is a happy girl again~






Later in the afternoon, my bro and GF brought some toiletries and clothes for me to change in the hospital.. My mum only left at around 8pm coz she wans to help to take care of Darrielle as I was still having fever, feeling super cold on the outside, and aches all over.. Somemore, Darrielle is really clingy to her..

Before my mum left, she looked for a soup spoon from the food court below, some salt, and hot water, and use them to do 刮沙 for me coz I'm really feeling all weak and cold from the fever.. Immediately felt better.. I couldn't take panadol coz i'm allergic to it..

Slept in a baby cot together with Darrielle.. Her fever kept going up and down up and down.. Peaked at 39.9 degree Celcius, nurse gave her a cooling water mattress to sleep on..

10th Feb(Tues), Day2 in hospital.. Darrielle is better today as she got used to the environment.. It's easier to make her take her nap also.. She still dislike those doctors touching here n there.. and practically jump onto me once she see the nurses comes to her holding a syringe lo.. She is a big time medicine hater.. Hahaa.. My mum reaches at early 9am..



There are alot of volunteers there.. Some give balloons, some perform magic, some brings toys..


The cooling mattress she slept on.. Tiny piece nia.. but very nice~

My mum got her a balloon from Macdonald's while i get my breakfast..



Seriously, I got balloon phobia.. I'm so afraid that they would burst, and Darling love to try chewing at them.. I'm SOOOO scary they would juz burst right in her face lo.. So i threw the balloons away.. hahaa..

Her fever is better already.. Although it's still fluctuating, but the peak is lower and lower le lo..

Doctors after doing blood test and everything, believe its viral infection.. And predict that she would break out in rashes soon.. Which would be good news as viral infection, fever usually peaks for the 1st 2-3 days, thn slowly subsides after that.. And if rashes breaks out, means fever won't be back anymore..

Darrielle refuses to sleep at 8.30pm.. And kept being cranky and wanna hug n play.. By the time she is done with it, its already 9pm, and she is due for her panadol at 10pm.. So i juz drag her on, until she take her panadol thn let her sleep lo.. Hug her, walk around, talk to her.. knock out at 10pm after the panadol, But wakes up at 12am crying and screaming.. No choice, carried her around, play and play until she feels better, at 1+am.. But she is due for her panadol again at 2am.. So again, drag until 2am after panadol then sleep lo.. Slept like an angel all the way till 8am..

11th Feb(Wed) i got kick out of her cot at 6am coz she decide tht she wanna sleep horizontally across so i juz wakes up and go wash up lo..



Been using the Mothercraft room to bath Darrielle.. It's quite nice there.. It's meant for babies from the nursery next to it de.. But this nursery is emptied coz no birthing mother is at Ward31..


The rashes is out liao.. So means GOOD NEWS~ by this time, she is not longer having fever la.. And doc told us she can be discharged at 5pm~!! yippee!!

Her ward number jumped in 4D last night la.. too bad my mum didn't but 24bets huh~

My bro and his GF came and everyone is there to send her home.. hehee..

It have been a pleasant stay (excluding that Darling is sick la) .. The nurses there loves her and I'm feeling so proud each time ppl cooed that she's so cute~ haha.. Really thankful to them.. It's really a tough job.. But middle of the night can be quite scary when toddlers or babies need to be brought into the Treatment room to put in the drip.. The way they cry, send chill down my spine and breaks ppl's heart lo.. There are 4 very young babies in the other bed around.. Hope that no babies would be sick la..

And hope my precious Darling would be 健健康康,平平安安 always~
