Started Darling on her first sweet potato coz she shows all signs of readiness..

The Goodness of Sweet Potatoes for Baby:

The nutritional value of yams/sweet potatoes cannot be ignored! They are high in Vitamin A and beta carotene as well as potassium. They also contain a good amount of Vitamin E, calcium and folate! "The Nutrition Action Health Letter rated 58 vegetables by adding up the percentages of USRDA for six nutrients (Vitamins A and C, folate, iron, copper, and calcium), plus fiber. Sweet Potatoes topped the list with a whopping 582 points; its nearest competitor, a raw carrot came in at 434."˚

1. Wash and poke holes in sweet potato with fork under running water (the water that seep into the sweet potato will help get it cooked) then wrap sweet potatoes in aluminum foil with the skin on.
2. Place in a 410 degree oven and bake for 30-60 minutes or until soft
3. Remove skins by slitting the sweet potato lengthwise when cooled then scoop out the "meat".
4. Mash/ Puree it using a fork or a machine. Put it in ice trays and freeze until ready to use.
5. Use a liquid from your preferred source to puree or thin the sweet potatoes. (I used breastmilk to help Darrielle get used to the taste better, and of coz, adding in the goodness of breastmilk)

My haolian worm who tried to sit up by herself whenever we place her in semi-recline position.. LOL

I saw Daw's blog on Niya with the baby swimming thingy, I'm so tempted to get one for Darling too.. But i'm not sure if she would enjoy it or not.. hmmm...
