Had my checkup with Dr. Ang on Friday.. I informed him about my fall on last Sunday, he was like, 'it's ok.. it's ok.. it won't affect the baby.." =.=" He said we are going to talk about Labour this time round, but his 'talk' is so brief.. Basically, using 1 min to talk about the signs of labour, (which all this i already know), and the next one min talking about ways of handling labour pain (which is more to trying to scare me out of using epidural.. but the fact is, i don't plan to use coz the side effect is scary)..
and he said, its unlikely for me to avoid an episiotomy as its my first baby, and he said, "Imagine a football coming out of your vagina" =( ok... and i was told to now go back, and start thinking of the pain everyday.. =.="" so i told him, "i have been doing that, and its freaking me out already.." hahahaha.. Anyway, lil'Darrielle is now 1.48kg, and Dr. Ang tried to do the 3D scan yesterday.. Not really clear as she is covering part of her face.. Can only see her lips and nose and abit of eyes... Her head is down turning down already, now on my right side near my hip.. Juz hope she keep turning the right way, and not over turn.. haha..
and oh! My cousin-in-law who is living in Penang, Butterworth has popped on Saturday around 1am.. It's a baby boy weighting 3.6kg.. According to my auntie, my cousin-in-law was having contraction pains for the whole Friday already.. But no water break, no mucus plug, so my cousin-in-law thought its just a bout of bad Braxton Hicks.. Until on Friday night, when she is even losing her appetite for dinner, my auntie felt that something is not right, and faster usher my cousin to sent my cousin-in-law to the hospital.. They arrived at the hospital at around 10pm, and baby is out by 1am.. Lucky her.. 3 hours is short.. I definitely won't hope for mine to be a long one.. *Crossing the fingers and toes* They say this baby boy looks like my cousin.. Aww.. means he is a handsome little boy.. I won't get the chance to meet them yet.. Not until Darrielle is around 4-5 months old as i had already booked the air ticket back to Penang in the Sep 08.. :D
So looking forward to that holiday.. I miss Penang..

Certain is it that there is no kind of affection so purely angelic as of a father to a daughter.
In love to our wives there is desire; to our sons, ambition;
but to our daughters there is something which there are no words to express.

"When we trust the makers of baby formula more than we do our own ability to nourish our babies, we lose a chance to claim an aspect of our power as women. Thinking that baby formula is as good as breast milk is believing that thirty years of technology is superior to three million years of nature's evolution. Countless women have regained trust in their bodies through nursing their children, even if they weren't sure at first that they could do it. It is an act of female power, and I think of it as feminism in its purest form."

If a multinational company developed a product that was a nutritionally balanced and delicious food, a wonder drug that both prevented and treated disease, cost almost nothing to produce and could be delivered in quantities controlled by the consumers' needs, the very announcement of their find would send their shares rocketing to the top of the stock market. The scientists who developed the product would win prizes and the wealth and influence of everyone involved would increase dramatically. Women have been producing such a miraculous substance, breastmilk, since the beginning of human existence. ----- Gabrielle Palmer
